Manager, Proposition Strategy
Develops subscription propositions and business cases for Spotify’s global markets, modeling economics, licensing, margins, and cannibalization. The role partners cross-functionally and turns complex commercial analysis into executive recommendations.

Responsibilities
- Develop new proposition opportunities and evolve existing subscription tiers using commercial analysis and local market insights.
- Own work from initial hypothesis through executive recommendation, including opportunity sizing, unit economics, margin and licensing analysis, cannibalization modeling, and narrative development.
- Build and stress-test business cases accounting for licensing structures, local market dynamics, currencies, and subscriber economics.
- Identify and quantify cannibalization across existing tiers and revenue streams, including free, lower-cost, and standard offerings.
- Partner with Finance, Product, Legal, Strategy, and Market teams to challenge assumptions, build alignment, and shape recommendations.
- Monitor competitive, consumer, and macroeconomic developments to identify proposition opportunities and risks.
- Translate complex analysis into clear choices for senior leaders.
Requirements
- Experience in product strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or a related field.
- Track record of turning ambiguous questions into structured recommendations.
- Experience building and owning complex financial models, including unit economics, margin analysis, scenario modeling, and cannibalization frameworks.
- Understanding of high-growth consumer markets and experience working across markets or geographies.
- Ability to communicate complex commercial trade-offs through clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment skills.
- Analytical rigor, sound judgment, and comfort moving between detailed analysis and broader strategic thinking.
- Curiosity about markets where established playbooks may not apply and ability to work through uncertainty.
