Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build high-impact customer-facing web applications that integrate with Tier-0 services (Fleet Management, Auth, and Core APIs).
• Design and build modern REST and gRPC APIs with clean data contracts and thoughtful versioning.
• Scale web-to-backend systems using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and scalable database architectures to maintain responsiveness as data volume and printer count grow.
• Develop complex, data-heavy interfaces with deep React expertise, focusing on thoughtful state management and high-performance rendering.
• Own features end-to-end from design through production, contributing to architectural decisions and technology selection.
• Jump into unfamiliar parts of the stack, learn quickly, and drive problems to completion.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate customer needs into robust software designs.
• Mentor junior engineers through code review, pairing, and design feedback; participate in team-wide design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong React and modern front-end skills, including deep experience with component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience building and shipping web applications that integrate with backend services (REST/gRPC APIs, auth, real-time data).
• Experience designing and building production APIs (REST, gRPC, or similar).
• Experience scaling a web application in production (performance, data volumes, or growing user base).
• Working knowledge of at least one modern backend language (Go, Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/Node, etc.); comfortable reading and contributing to backend code.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure equivalent) and modern database architectures.
• Strong communication, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to work outside primary stack when needed.

• Experience with GCP.
• Deep expertise across full web-to-edge stack.

Compensation

• Base salary: $158,400 - $237,600 per year (target midpoint $198,000 based on experience, location, certifications, and skills).
