Build and scale backend-heavy full-stack referral products, including incentive mechanics, referral flows, personalization, and AI-enabled features. Responsibilities
- Deliver large software projects and new product capabilities, often maintaining key code repositories.
- Modernize pipelines and systems to scale products with company growth.
- Break complex problems into manageable tasks, resolve incident root causes, and support predictable delivery.
- Help roadmap and execute technical strategies while balancing short- and long-term trade-offs.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
- Integrate AI technologies and agentic workflows to automate processes and enhance product features.
- Improve maintainability, availability, performance, architecture, and developer tooling.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and document solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of non-internship, full-time professional software development experience.
- Experience delivering large software projects or production features.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Strong backend API and service ownership, with confidence working on React or React Native frontend surfaces.
- Ability to own projects end to end, make sound technical trade-offs, and work with minimal direction.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude or Claude Code and agentic AI workflows.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with growth teams, incentives, rewards, social mechanics, user journeys, or acquisition channels.
- Experience integrating ML model outputs into acquisition surfaces, including A/B testing infrastructure or model serving.
- Experience running experiments with data science teams.
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms or ML feature stores.
- Experience with health or regulated-data environments.
Compensation and benefits
- Annual salary: $158,400–$237,600.
- Hybrid schedule with in-person attendance three days per week.
