Senior Software Engineer I - Platform Enablement
Build and evolve shared platform infrastructure for workflows, permissions, authentication, and notifications using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL. The role requires senior full-stack experience, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to lead ambiguous cross-team projects.

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve shared platform systems for approval workflows, permissions, authentication, and notifications.
- Apply architectural judgment to state management, data integrity, scalability, and backward compatibility.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and subject-matter experts across consuming teams.
- Decompose complex, ambiguous projects into actionable technical tasks and safe migration paths.
- Write performant, scalable, and secure backend code in Ruby on Rails.
- Design and optimize data models and PostgreSQL queries.
- Participate in code reviews, including changes affecting platform-owned systems.
- Mentor engineers and improve tools, processes, and engineering practices.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering background building production web applications and APIs.
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails or comparable production web application frameworks.
- Sound architectural judgment for shared, cross-team infrastructure.
- High ownership, self-direction, and comfort driving ambiguous work.
- Experience on a platform, infrastructure, or enablement team building systems consumed by other teams.
- Ability to collaborate across product teams and align architecture with business goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort with Agile/Scrum-style two-week planning cycles.
- Ability to write, analyze, and optimize SQL queries.
- Customer focus and attention to quality and detail.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with approval workflows, role-based access control, or identity and authentication products such as Auth0.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS products.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants, AI-enabled agents, or MCP servers.
