Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior sales leader for Canada across Emerging, CPG, and Retail, setting country strategy and quarterly and annual growth plans.
- Own revenue performance, forecasting, pipeline management, account prioritization, and recovery or acceleration plans.
- Lead five direct reports and a 60+ person organization across 10+ sales pods.
- Unify Emerging, CPG, and Retail under one Canada operating model with consistent forecasting, pipeline reviews, account planning, and performance management.
- Direct resources and leadership attention toward the highest-growth opportunities while improving productivity, account ownership, and vertical alignment.
- Build trusted C-level relationships with advertisers, agencies, and holding companies across Canada.
- Resolve complex customer and business escalations.
- Increase adoption of Pinterest’s full-funnel brand, performance, creative, and measurement solutions.
- Partner with business, go-to-market, and product stakeholders on planning, forecasting, resource allocation, organizational design, market strategy, product adoption, and customer feedback.
- Represent the Canada business with North American and global leadership.
- Lead organizational change and build an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Use data, AI, and automation to improve planning and execution while maintaining standards for accuracy, privacy, and accountability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in advertising sales, media, digital platforms, marketing technology, or a related commercial field.
- Experience leading a country, market, business unit, or multi-segment sales organization with significant revenue accountability.
- Track record of developing sales strategy and delivering sustained year-over-year growth.
- Deep knowledge of the Canadian advertiser and agency ecosystem, with strong in-market relationships and credibility.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising, full-funnel marketing, measurement, and go-to-market strategy.
- Experience leading leaders and managing a scaled organization through change.
- Strong operating discipline across forecasting, pipeline management, account planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
- Experience improving productivity by focusing resources on the strongest growth opportunities.
- Talent leadership experience, including coaching leaders, managing performance, succession planning, and developing inclusive teams.
- C-level executive presence and experience building senior customer relationships and navigating complex escalations.
- Strong judgment, resilience, and decision-making in fast-moving commercial environments.
- Ability to influence cross-functional product and business stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, advertising, marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Work Arrangement
- Requires in-office collaboration at least once per week and residence within commuting distance of Pinterest’s Toronto office.
