Analytics Engineer, Enterprise Data

Builds executive and operational dashboards while developing the SQL-based analytics datasets beneath them. The role partners with business and executive stakeholders to deliver governed, accurate, self-service insights across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build executive and operational dashboards for daily decision-making.
  • Build analytics datasets by writing SQL, modeling data, and preparing performant, accurate, consistent reporting views.
  • Turn complex, cross-functional data into clear, intuitive, trustworthy visual analytics.
  • Partner with executives and business teams to understand underlying questions and deliver dashboards that answer them.
  • Establish standards for dashboard design, data modeling, storytelling, and self-service analytics.
  • Ensure reporting data is accurate, governed, and consistent as a single source of truth.
  • Help shape the company's analytics delivery approach as the enterprise data platform matures.

Requirements

  • Advanced Tableau dashboard design, performance optimization, and best practices.
  • Strong SQL for complex analytics queries, data transformation, and validation.
  • Analytics data modeling, including star schemas and performant reporting datasets.
  • Python for data preparation, transformation, and automation of recurring analytics work.
  • Ability to translate business questions into clear, self-service dashboards.
  • Strong visual design, data storytelling, and executive-ready presentation skills.
  • Attention to data accuracy, consistency, and reporting governance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift.
  • ERP and CRM platforms such as NetSuite and Salesforce.
  • Modern data platforms or lakehouse environments.
  • dbt or similar transformation and orchestration tools.
