Senior software engineer responsible for leading multi-quarter platform initiatives and building scalable backend services for loan servicing, automation, and financial decision systems. - Lead cross-team and multi-quarter projects involving multiple engineers.

- Build the engineering team and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
- Develop loan servicing capabilities, automate business processes, optimize workflows, integrate systems, and improve experiences for borrowers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 3+ years developing backend applications with Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems, including service-to-service APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable backend services that process business-critical or financial data in production.
- Experience contributing to decision engines that integrate with machine-learning models.
- Experience writing production-quality code supported by automated testing, monitoring, and observability practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating systems with third parties and/or ingesting, storing, and exposing large amounts of data.
- Experience with SQL, data warehouses, or other database technologies.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications.
- Strong ownership and accountability for quality and timely delivery.
- Ability to incorporate feedback and continuously improve.
- Ability to work effectively in self-directed and collaborative environments.
Compensation and Benefits
- United States base salary range: $166,900–$230,900 USD.
- Canada base salary range: $153,000–$190,000 CAD.
