Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex, distributed systems that are scalable, maintainable, and secure
- Lead high-priority technical projects from conception to delivery, navigating trade-offs and aligning stakeholders
- Foster a high-performing engineering culture through code reviews, technical documentation, and mentoring junior engineers
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery velocity and enhance code quality
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building and scaling web applications in production
- Deep expertise in modern full-stack technologies (TypeScript, React, Node.js) with strong grasp of functional and object-oriented programming
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex, distributed systems
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools
- Proven experience leading high-priority technical projects
- Passion for fostering high-performing engineering culture
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience developing or integrating LLM-based features or agentic workflows into production applications
- Experience transitioning from monolithic architectures to microservices or event-driven systems
- Advanced knowledge of database design and performance tuning (PostgreSQL and non-relational stores)
- Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
