About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own first-party data collection across the full stack, including JavaScript tags, Cloudflare Workers, and Java backend services.
  • Expand edge-computing infrastructure for tag serving, A/B configuration, agentic systems, and data analysis.
  • Build agentic AI workflows that identify, diagnose, and fix data-collection gaps.
  • Improve event-ingestion services that receive, validate, and route events.
  • Increase pipeline reliability and observability across collection and ingestion.
  • Lead technical direction through proposals and design reviews.
  • Mentor teammates on a small, autonomous team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience across multiple system layers.
  • Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, or a similar typed language, including API design, data modeling, and testing.
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience, including browser runtime behavior, asynchronous patterns, and production performance.
  • Experience with edge computing or serverless runtimes, such as Cloudflare Workers, Lambda@Edge, or Fastly, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Experience leading projects from scoping through delivery.
  • Strong debugging skills across service boundaries and a focus on clear system observability.
  • Active production use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
  • Willingness to work across unfamiliar areas of the technology stack.

Compensation and Benefits

  • US base salary: $170,000–$205,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
