Responsibilities
- Support month-end close for revenue and accounts receivable, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
- Record cash-receipt journal entries and maintain reconciliations.
- Recognize revenue in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606, including evaluating multiple performance obligations, variable consideration, and standalone selling price.
- Oversee accounts receivable subledger accuracy, invoicing, credit memos, and cash application.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, invoice disputes, and mismatches between billing systems and the general ledger.
- Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices.
- Identify and drive process improvements and automation in billing-to-cash workflows.
- Maintain and improve internal controls over revenue and accounts receivable processes.
- Support external audit requests with revenue journal details, contract support, and reconciliations.
- Support weekly business-results reporting to leadership.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of GAAP as applied to accounts receivable, revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables.
- Solid understanding of ASC 606, including performance obligations, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
- Process-improvement mindset; experience working with AI models is a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, customer-service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related accounting concentration.
- 4+ years of relevant accounts receivable or revenue-accounting experience.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
- NetSuite and Salesforce experience.
- CPA certification.
- Experience with legacy migrations.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: $112,500–$125,000.
- Equity, perks, and competitive benefits are also included.
