The Business Operations Manager will launch and scale international tax operations, designing VAT/GST workflows, automation, and repeatable processes across global markets. Responsibilities
- Launch Numeral’s product in new countries by owning end-to-end international launches, including operational research, tooling, stakeholder coordination, and SOP development.
- Design scalable VAT/GST compliance workflows using RPA tools, SQL, and AI agents.
- Pilot new operational systems, document workflows, train the team, and scale processes across regions.
- Identify bottlenecks, reduce manual execution time, and implement automation and tooling.
- Triage complex international operations issues and build systems to prevent recurring problems.
- Create internal SOPs and operational guides to support quality and consistency at scale.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Customer Experience teams to enable regional rollouts and go-to-market success.
Requirements
- 5+ years of operations experience at a fintech, SaaS, or compliance-focused startup.
- 2+ years of remote work experience in globally distributed teams.
- Experience building structured processes in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
- Familiarity with process automation tools such as Google Sheets, Apps Script, and RPA frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Startup mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and rapid-growth environments.
- Strong ownership and customer focus.
Nice-to-haves
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a tax-adjacent field.
- Experience with indirect tax, including VAT/GST product or compliance operations.
- SQL proficiency and comfort working with relational databases.
- Experience implementing AI tools or automation agents in operational workflows.
- Exposure to Salesforce and state or international tax portals.
