Responsibilities
Customer Success & Secure Solution Delivery
- Lead technical onboarding, configuration, and production deployments for strategic enterprise and U.S. Federal customers.
- Design, validate, and implement secure, scalable Mattermost architectures across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and air-gapped environments.
- Support alignment with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DoD STIG, and SOC 2 frameworks.
- Guide integrations with authentication and identity management systems, DevOps pipelines, and monitoring tools.
- Provide proactive technical guidance to minimize operational risk and support long-term platform success.
Technical Leadership & Advocacy
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to resolve complex technical issues and advocate for customer needs.
- Develop reusable deployment assets, including scripts, playbooks, and technical documentation.
- Improve onboarding methodologies and deployment best practices through internal reviews.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Present complex technical concepts to executive and technical stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships that drive adoption, expansion, and long-term customer success.
- Maintain records of architectural decisions, deployment strategies, and customer feedback.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in Technical Account Management, Sales Engineering, Customer Success Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on scripting or development experience with Python, Go, Node.js, or similar languages.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure system architecture.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and workflows, including GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, and Terraform.
- Experience managing large enterprise or government customers and aligning technical delivery with business and security requirements.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws, including EAR and ITAR.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with U.S. Federal agencies, defense organizations, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks.
- Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
- Experience with secure collaboration platforms or open-source technologies.
- Exposure to mobile device management environments such as Intune, Workspace ONE, or MobileIron.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment.
Compensation
- Target salary range: $125,000–$165,000 USD, plus commission.
