Founding Data Lead
Founding Data Lead building analytics from scratch at a stablecoin infrastructure startup. Own metrics, dashboards, and customer insights across onchain, product, and financial data.

Responsibilities
- Build the analytics function from the ground up as the first data hire
- Own company-wide metrics: definition, sourcing, and interpretation
- Map data across onchain, product, financial, and operational domains into a unified view
- Deliver customer insights that drive growth, investment, and product decisions
- Stand up self-service analytics tools for all teams
- Partner with engineering to expand data capabilities
- Implement product analytics across key user surfaces
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering (ideally early data hire at a high-growth startup)
- Strong SQL (complex queries, joins, window functions, CTEs, subqueries)
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards and metrics frameworks (Metabase, Looker, or similar)
- Ability to translate messy business context into clean data models
- Experience working with high-volume event data and related tooling (Spark, Databricks, ClickHouse, or similar)
- Clear communication and ability to present findings to executives
- Working knowledge of data orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar)
- Proficiency with product analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, Heap, or similar)
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with blockchain data: onchain indexing, subgraphs, multi-chain analytics, or DeFi protocols
- Background in fintech, payments, or financial services
