Senior Certification Development Program Manager
Leads the design, development, validation, and launch of SnowPro technical certification exams, including hands-on assessments and global localization. Requires 6+ years in technical content or assessment development, cloud/data platform experience, and strong technical project management skills.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy lab-based practical assessments, including architectural concepts, automated scoring scripts, micro-credentials, performance-based tasks, and rubric-based evaluations.
- Recruit, train, and lead global subject matter experts through exam development workshops covering program design, job task analyses, item writing, technical reviews, and standard-setting sessions.
- Author, review, and technically validate advanced, scenario-based exam questions aligned with Snowflake platform updates, AI/ML features, and architectural best practices.
- Edit exam content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, tone, readability, and adherence to editorial standards.
- Manage medium- and large-scale exam development projects and simultaneous certification releases using project management tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with psychometricians and delivery vendors such as Pearson to monitor item performance, manage item banks, ensure QTI compliance, and enforce exam security.
- Oversee publishing, maintenance, and global localization workflows for certification forms and program assets.
- Develop study guides, practice exams, web content, program articles, and blog posts for exam launches.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Marketing, and Technical Documentation teams to align certification paths with platform releases and product roadmaps.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in technical content development, certification design, assessment engineering, or IT/technical training in enterprise software environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and building technical labs, practical assessments, or hands-on environments across enterprise cloud or data platforms.
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects from concept through launch using standard project management tools and frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Education, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to translate complex cloud architectural patterns into clear assessment objectives and concise editorial content.
Preferred Skills
- SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced certification.
- Hands-on experience with the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
- SQL and/or Python proficiency.
- Experience with item-banking platforms such as Pearson ExamDeveloper.
- Familiarity with QTI (Question & Test Interoperability).
- Experience with LLMs, AI/ML workflows, and agent building.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $144,000–$189,000.
