Responsibilities
- Lead leased and partnered data center capacity delivery projects, shaping site-team culture, approach, and execution to achieve the fastest possible schedule while maintaining safety and quality.
- Serve as a subject matter expert across the cross-functional elements of data center delivery and improve the performance of development partners, contractors, and key trades.
- Validate transaction readiness from Letter of Intent (LOI) through lease execution, ensuring predevelopment, planning, technical, and business requirements are met.
- Partner with landlords and developers as Anthropic's primary point of contact after deal execution.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, track construction progress, and facilitate information exchange between development partners and Anthropic teams.
- Represent Anthropic in technical and operational decisions during development while ensuring infrastructure requirements are met.
- Drive handoffs to operational readiness, coordinating with networking and deployment teams to enable rapid workload turn-up and minimize time to production.
- Prepare executive reporting on facility-development progress against plan to support capacity planning and strategic decisions.
- Identify and mitigate risks affecting schedule, cost, or technical requirements.
- Develop standardized facility-delivery processes and playbooks and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 8+ years of senior site leadership experience managing data center delivery, construction projects, or large-scale infrastructure deployment within Australia.
- End-to-end understanding of data center development, including entitlements and permitting, planning and supply chain, execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Active decision-making and delivery-execution experience without relying on extensive external consultation.
- Understanding of data center design and construction practices, industry participants, contractual norms, and delivery incentives in Australia.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience in a relevant field.
- Willingness to work independently and develop approaches within broad mission guidance.
Nice-to-haves
- Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure requirements, including high-density power and advanced cooling systems.
- Leadership experience as a General Superintendent or Project Manager with a general contractor (GC) or engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm on hyperscale data center projects.
- Experience with self-performance of hyperscale data center development projects.
- Ability to create high-performing cultures across diverse job sites.
- Familiarity with lease negotiations, construction contracts, and real estate development processes.
- Strategies for aligning incentives around accelerated facility delivery.
Compensation and Benefits
