Forward Deployed Product Manager

Responsibilities
- Embed with HQ, regional, and division teams to run discovery, locate plan assets, establish sources of truth, and document how plans are represented and where variation originates.
- Own product definition for a searchable plan library, analytics dashboard, and agent-enabled search.
- Tune AI to identify, categorize, and translate floorplans into structured data.
- Query the structured plan library directly, build against internal APIs, and ship working capabilities to users.
- Define acceptance criteria for delivery milestones, including coverage targets, data-field completeness, and QA error thresholds.
- Quantify and defend ROI related to catalog redundancy, repeated conditions, consolidation candidates, and purchasing leverage.
- Partner with Forward Deployed Engineering, technical leadership, QA, intake, and client strategy teams.
- Present progress and tradeoffs to executive stakeholders.
- Capture playbooks, artifacts, and data patterns for future engagements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, including significant customer-facing or deployed work in enterprise implementations, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or professional services.
- Hands-on technical fluency with SQL, notebooks, APIs, and data investigation.
- Experience rapidly prototyping with tools such as Cursor, Replit, or V0.dev.
- Track record defining structured data models, taxonomies, or classification schemes and driving business adoption.
- Strong judgment about data quality and the accuracy required for business decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with executive stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and company events up to 30% of the time.
Nice-to-haves
- Background in residential construction, homebuilding, architecture, or AEC technology.
- Experience with agent-based or natural-language search, RAG systems, or LLM-powered analytics.
- Exposure to geometric or spatial data, CAD/BIM, computer vision on drawings, similarity, or clustering methods.
- Experience with large, messy, enterprise-scale data migrations or ingestion programs.
- Experience building a new team, practice, or delivery model from zero.
