Senior Forward Deployed Engineer
The Forward Deployed Engineer embeds with strategic customers to architect and deliver production fullstack applications on the Databricks platform, spanning data engineering, AI/ML integration, and user-facing systems. The role requires broad software engineering expertise, enterprise delivery experience, and strong customer communication.

Responsibilities
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable customer solutions aligned with Databricks best practices.
- Design and develop fullstack applications, backend and frontend systems, integrations, data pipelines, and AI-enabled applications.
- Deliver production-grade systems from data ingestion and transformation through ML/AI model integration and user-facing applications.
- Embed with customer teams and engage stakeholders from technical contributors to executives.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Field Engineering from pre-sales through post-deployment.
- Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and inform the product roadmap.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background spanning backend, frontend, and systems integration.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Java or Scala, JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying production applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Familiarity integrating AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini into applications.
- Experience using AI code-generation tools.
- Proven ability to deliver enterprise technical solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts for engineers and C-level executives.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technologies and domains.
