Sr. Member of Technical Staff, Architecture
Senior engineer developing containerized microservices in Java/Spring Boot or Go for a distributed multi-tenant security platform on Kubernetes. Owns full SDLC, mentors juniors, and operates production systems serving real-time cloud telemetry.

Responsibilities
- Develop containerized (micro)services and associated components for a distributed multi-tenant system that processes data, real-time events, and systems/asset/network telemetry from multiple public clouds
- Provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to customers
- Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns
- Write code primarily in Java (using Spring Boot framework) and work with data pipelines using Kafka/SQL or other interfaces
- Leverage Kubernetes for service infrastructure platform
- Own critical features and subsystems and the entire software development lifecycle from clarifying requirements to ensuring successful deployment and usage by customers
- Own operational aspects of the system and be on the front lines experiencing challenges of operating such a system
- Own quality in all aspects of the development process including early developer testing, functional/integration testing, and performance testing
- Partner with Product Management to review and refine requirements
- Develop deep understanding of fundamental customer problems through interaction with stakeholders and peers
Requirements
- Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent degree
- 5+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems
- Passion for software development, willingness to constantly learn, keep up with technological trends, and work in a team setting
- AWS / Azure / GCP cloud experience: extensively used one of these platforms at the API/programming level
- Experience in Java and Spring Boot or Golang
- REST API client experience
- General TCP/IP networking knowledge
- Unix/Linux programming environment experience

- Master's degree
- Experience with networking and security controls
- Experience delivering a containerized service (K8s-based platform)
- CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible
