Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to strategic customers through cloud transformations for large-scale data warehousing workloads, from evaluation and architecture design through production deployment.
- Architect production workloads on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, including end-to-end pipeline load performance testing and optimization.
- Develop expertise in data warehousing evaluations and workload migration planning.
- Support Solution Architects with technical sales activities, including proof-of-concept content, workload sizing, performance estimation, and production tuning.
- Provide tutorials and training through hackathons, conference presentations, and other community programs.
- Contribute to the Databricks Community.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role focused on data warehousing.
- Experience with query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, query conversion, debugging MPP data warehouses or other big data solutions, and workload migration.
- Experience designing and implementing data warehousing technologies, including relational databases, SQL, data analytics, MPP, and OLAP.
- Experience scaling large analytical data warehouse workloads in the cloud, maintaining or migrating production data warehouses, or migrating on-premises enterprise data warehouse workloads to the public cloud.
- Production programming experience with SQL and Python or Java for developing UDFs.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- At least 2 years of experience with data warehousing and big data technologies, such as SQL, Redshift, SAP, Synapse, Snowflake, OLAP, and OLTP workloads.
- At least 2 years of customer-facing experience in a pre-sales or post-sales role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Native Korean proficiency; business-level English preferred.
