Responsibilities
- Launch and operate a fulfillment center process and team on the operating floor.
- Coach, manage, and develop a team of 30–100.
- Communicate policies, maintain compliance and consistency, and take corrective action when needed.
- Create, manage, and support recognition programs.
- Support safety programs and OSHA compliance.
- Ensure building security and product loss-prevention procedures are followed.
- Own performance reporting for receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy, and packing quality.
- Hold teams to SLA expectations and provide performance reports and action plans.
- Troubleshoot fulfillment problems with cross-functional partners and serve as an escalation point.
- Identify root causes of inventory-accuracy gaps and implement strategic improvements.
- Review defect-rate trends and identify operational improvement opportunities.
- Document learnings and best practices for standard operating procedures.
- Prioritize systemic problem resolution with Growth and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years managing staff of five or more.
- Experience in warehousing, fulfillment, or transportation/logistics management.
- Experience using problem-solving and data analysis to make high-judgment decisions.
- Experience with SQL and creating and running reports.
- Strong computer literacy, including Google Sheets or Excel.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work permanent shifts that may include overnight shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, and stand or walk for 10–12 hours.
- Ability to work in variable noise and temperatures, and on secure mezzanines up to 40 feet high where applicable.
- Three months of onboarding and training at the Des Plaines, Illinois site before transitioning to Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
Compensation
- US base salary: $64,800–$81,000 USD
- Additional rewards may include bonus, equity, medical and dental benefits, and flexible time off.
