Responsibilities
- Own strategic fulfillment initiatives end to end, from problem definition and business case through implementation, go-live, and realized ROI tracking.
- Build and maintain ROI models for automation and capital projects, including labor savings, throughput gains, payback analysis, and actual-versus-projected results.
- Evaluate, select, and implement warehouse automation solutions, including ASRS, AMRs, robotics, conveyor systems, and goods-to-person systems.
- Define automation requirements using throughput, bin and cube utilization, labor rates, SKU profiles, and peak-capacity data.
- Manage implementation timelines, construction sequencing, transition plans, and go-live readiness.
- Build tooling, dashboards, and models using SQL, Python, and BI platforms.
- Use data to identify bottlenecks, size automation opportunities, and guide capital allocation.
- Prototype and validate workflows on the warehouse floor before scaling.
- Partner with engineering, product, operations, and finance to scale solutions across sites.
- Establish SOPs, KPIs, and reporting cadences for fulfillment execution.
- Develop and execute multi-year automation and network buildout roadmaps with senior leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, or operations strategy, with exposure to high-volume networks and automation or robotics programs.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience owning large-scale capital programs, including business-case development, implementation, and realized ROI tracking.
- Hands-on technical program ownership involving ASRS, robotics, goods-to-person systems, or conveyor and sortation technology.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including building ROI models, stress-testing assumptions, and presenting analyses to executive leadership.
- Expert SQL and advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder influence skills.
- Experience partnering closely with software engineering teams on tooling, systems, and technical trade-offs.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to work hands-on in warehouse operations.
