Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with prospects to determine whether their applications fit Temporal’s platform.
  • Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
  • Position Temporal as an enterprise development standard against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
  • Increase adoption and expansion of Temporal in customer production environments.
  • Partner with Account Executives on account plans for new opportunities and expansions.
  • Manage relationships with technical decision-makers and help customers fully leverage Temporal.
  • Create reusable technical assets, reference architectures, playbooks, and demos for Solutions Architects.
  • Travel 25–50%.

Requirements

  • Reside within the Eastern time zone in the United States.
  • Exceptional technical communication skills, from staff-level engineering discussions to executive narratives.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, design principles, and best practices.
  • Proficiency building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance in one or more supported languages: Java, Golang, Python, C#, TypeScript, Ruby, or Rust.
  • Strong understanding of production operations, including security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
  • Ability to advise on application patterns and platform architectures.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider and commonly used application development and production services.
  • Ability to advise Sales Account Executives on opportunity scoping, sizing, technical fit, and challenges.
