Partner Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

  • Onboard, train, enable, and certify partner technical resources.
  • Participate in joint business planning and review sessions with Datadog and partner technical teams.
  • Support partner technical initiatives, including customer demonstrations, proofs of value, enablement workshops, assessments, advice, and coaching on best practices.
  • Advocate for partners’ technical concerns, including use cases, feature requests, and support issues, and help drive them to resolution.
  • Analyze partner service offerings and recommend ways to increase the value and adoption of Datadog features and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and technical services teams to identify and prioritize new features and capabilities.
  • Curate and evolve best practices for Datadog platform adoption and customer success.

Requirements

  • Solid technical grounding with hands-on experience in IT development and/or operations.
  • Typically 10–15 years of experience in a customer- or partner-facing technical role.
  • Strong learning orientation, business acumen, and ability to articulate technical value from the server room to the boardroom.
  • Confident presentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Observability: Datadog, Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Dynatrace
    • Public cloud: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud
    • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Cloud Foundry
    • Development and scripting: Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, PHP, or Go
    • Configuration management: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
    • CI/CD: Jenkins or GitLab

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working in a technical role for or supporting channel partners, such as systems integrators or managed services providers.
  • Experience using Datadog or other cloud monitoring tools, including APM, infrastructure monitoring, logs, synthetics, or network performance monitoring.
  • Experience with root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging.
