Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for escalated Databricks Data Intelligence platform issues.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex problems affecting system performance and reliability.
- Engage directly with customers to understand technical issues and provide clear, actionable solutions.
- Lead high-priority incident resolution, coordinate across teams, perform root-cause analyses, and develop preventive measures.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and DevOps teams to identify recurring issues and improve the platform.
- Create and maintain support documentation, knowledge-base content, and training materials.
- Monitor platform performance metrics and implement stability and efficiency improvements.
- Manage deployment of platform upgrades and patches with minimal service disruption.
- Propose initiatives to improve platform capabilities and support processes.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in technical support or engineering involving Databricks, cloud data platforms, or big data technologies.
- Deep understanding of Databricks architecture and Apache Spark.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience designing and managing data pipelines and distributed computing systems.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration, DevOps practices, log analysis, and monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, customer-service, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Hadoop, Kafka, or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications.
