About the job

Responsibilities

  • Build and own Perplexity’s virtual events channel, including program strategy, calendar planning, event briefs, speaker staffing, rehearsals, live production, follow-up, and retrospectives.
  • Develop deep product knowledge and turn complex capabilities into clear, accurate live demonstrations and stories.
  • Host, moderate, present, and demonstrate products for professional audiences.
  • Identify, recruit, brief, and prepare subject-matter experts across Product, Engineering, Research, Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Marketing.
  • Partner with Growth, Lifecycle, Social, Communications, Sales, and Customer Success on full-funnel promotion plans and registration growth.
  • Repurpose events into recordings, replays, clips, FAQs, demo flows, education materials, and sales follow-up.
  • Measure registration, attendance, engagement, product activation, qualified pipeline, revenue, cost efficiency, and channel ROI.
  • Build scalable operating processes, including intake, calendars, production checklists, run-of-show templates, speaker readiness gates, contingency plans, scorecards, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in virtual events, product marketing, customer education, demand generation, or a related role, ideally at a high-growth technology company.
  • Ability to learn technical products deeply and translate complex capabilities into simple, specific, accurate live demonstrations.
  • Polished, credible on-camera presence and experience hosting, interviewing, moderating, or presenting to professional audiences.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and ability to coordinate busy experts without formal authority.
  • Full-funnel growth knowledge, including audience segmentation, campaign testing, conversion, and post-event nurture.
  • Analytical rigor, including channel metrics, CRM and marketing automation data, and ROI analysis.
  • Excellent production judgment and attention to detail across rehearsals, technical readiness, live moderation, and fallback planning.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar products and domains quickly and work effectively in high-velocity, ambiguous environments.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $125,000–$140,000.
