Senior Software Engineer, App Platform

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable backend platform infrastructure, abstractions, and tooling that supports application deployment, authentication, and API services.
• Build and optimize distributed systems that enable rapid application development and deployment across the organization.
• Architect and implement plugin systems and extensibility frameworks to build upon the platform.
• Create and maintain cross-platform desktop application infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Design and implement robust authentication and authorization systems and automated testing strategies, and evaluate, integrate, and maintain authentication solutions.
• Engage with external customers to gather feedback on platform capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.
• Document platform features, APIs, and best practices for internal and external users.
• Implement comprehensive observability solutions including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Monitor platform performance and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and failures.
• Participate in on-call rotations, conduct post-incident reviews, and implement preventive measures to improve system resilience, maintain platform availability, and respond to incidents.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in a software engineer role with a technology company.
• At least 12 months of experience using Python, Golang, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, Flask, Node.js/Express.js, PostgreSQL/MySQL, React.js, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and GCP cloud services, GitHub, OAuth 2.0, and Load Balancing.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building platform infrastructure, plugin systems, authentication/authorization, observability, and distributed systems.
• Customer engagement and feedback integration experience.
• On-call and incident response experience.
