Lead a growth engineering team focused on improving developer onboarding, activation, conversion, and retention through customer-centered experimentation. The role requires engineering management experience, strong technical judgment, product sense, and fluency with experimentation and analytics.

Responsibilities
- Lead the Growth ("Value Discovery") engineering team, set priorities, and own the metrics it influences.
- Define and execute the roadmap in partnership with Product, Design, Data, BizOps, and GTM.
- Lead work across the self-serve funnel, including signup and onboarding, in-product activation, trial and upgrade paths, and pricing and billing surfaces.
- Evolve experimentation foundations, including feature flags, instrumentation, and experiment readouts.
- Run a disciplined experimentation loop with clear hypotheses and rigorous evaluation.
- Balance conversion and activation with churn, support volume, and 90-day retention, and report experiment results, including flat outcomes.
- Grow and mentor engineers while supporting high-quality work in an experimental environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing engineers, including ownership of a metric-driven team, plus a strong engineering background.
- Technical credibility with senior engineers and the ability to engage in architecture and technical decisions.
- Strong product sense and experience identifying where product changes create customer value.
- Experience helping users get the most out of a complex product.
- Fluency with experimentation frameworks, feature flags, A/B testing, and analytics instrumentation.
- Ability to discuss developer workflows, tooling, and pain points credibly with users.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working on growth at a developer tools company.
- Experience building experimentation infrastructure from an early stage.
- Experience running experiments at volumes where statistical significance was not guaranteed.
Compensation
- Base salary: $220,000-$450,000 annually.
- Eligible for incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage.
