About the job

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of Platform Services and engineering managers to translate organizational priorities into executable program roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional technical programs from definition and planning through delivery and adoption.
  • Manage goals, milestones, dependencies, decisions, execution risks, and operating rhythms across engineering and partner teams.
  • Build scalable program mechanisms, including roadmap reviews, status reporting, escalation paths, and success metrics.
  • Identify systemic issues and execution gaps, and lead teams toward durable solutions.
  • Influence technical and business stakeholders on trade-offs and strategic decisions.
  • Mentor others on program management practices and improve engineering execution standards.
  • Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews, executive reporting, and cross-organizational communications.
  • Collaborate with Product leadership to translate product roadmaps into programs spanning multiple engineering teams.
  • Implement program tracking frameworks, including Gantt charts and single-source-of-truth models, to identify delivery risks early.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or a related role in software, infrastructure, or platform organizations.
  • Experience leading large, ambiguous, multi-team programs with significant dependencies and measurable business or platform impact.
  • Strong technical fluency, including the ability to discuss architecture, trade-offs, delivery risks, and execution plans with engineering leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure programs, drive decisions, and solve complex problems in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience aligning senior stakeholders and improving communication, governance, and execution across interdependent teams.
  • Bias for action and root-cause problem solving, with experience actively unblocking delivery beyond administrative tracking.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including synthesizing technical complexity into executive summaries and trade-off matrices.
  • Experience establishing objective metrics to govern program success, including dashboards, SLO attainment, and cost trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 15+ years of experience in the technology industry.
  • Prior experience as a Software Engineer, Systems or Delivery Architect, or Technical Product Manager.
