Robot Service Technician Assistant

Supports weekend deployment operations for an autonomous delivery robot fleet, including charging, cleaning, repairs, calibration, software and hardware updates, and remote-support coordination. This entry-level role requires safe lifting, field flexibility, attention to detail, and U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare robots for each shift by ensuring hardware and software are ready for deployment.
  • Put robots and batteries on chargers overnight and manage power cycles.
  • Clean robots while protecting sensitive external hardware.
  • Assist with and perform basic mechanical repairs on the robot fleet.
  • Help implement fleet-wide hardware and software service campaigns.
  • Support remote support coordinators as the hands-on field contact.
  • Perform calibrations and wheel alignment to keep sensors and chassis components properly tuned.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized workshop.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in varied field environments.
  • Ability to safely lift and move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Team-oriented approach with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • General computer literacy.
  • Introductory experience or interest in electric vehicle service, automotive repair, or electronics.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Part-time, weekend-based schedule covering Saturday and Sunday.
  • Most campuses offer approximately 16 hours per weekend, generally in 8-hour shifts.
  • Morning/afternoon and afternoon/late-evening shifts may be available; exact hours vary by campus.
  • Employment is through a staffing partner and includes weekly pay.
  • No relocation, sponsorship, or remote-work options are available.
