Responsibilities
- Own Coinbase's business performance in India, with direct accountability for user growth, revenue, and long-term market position.
- Identify and build relationships with potential commercial partners and key stakeholders.
- Drive country strategy by synthesizing market, regulatory, and competitive analysis into growth opportunities and executable plans.
- Lead cross-functional execution with Marketing, Business Development, Legal, Compliance, and Policy on India-specific initiatives while managing regulatory risk and compliance requirements.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape and launch locally relevant products within India's regulatory constraints.
- Shape Coinbase's regulatory and policy positioning in India by engaging regulators, industry bodies, and policy stakeholders.
- Build and develop a high-performing local team.
- Serve as Coinbase's senior representative in India across regulators, partners, media, and industry forums.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of senior leadership experience as a CEO, COO, GM, Country Head, or Founder scaling a platform, e-commerce, fintech, or trading business in India, with measurable impact on revenue and active users.
- Direct experience engaging with Indian financial regulators and policy stakeholders, with demonstrated outcomes balancing relationships and commercial objectives.
- Experience partnering with Product, Marketing, and Business Development to build, launch, and scale products in regulated environments.
- Experience navigating licensing, compliance, and risk frameworks.
- Deep understanding of India's regulated financial services ecosystem, including Compliance, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Audit, and third-party oversight functions.
- Ability to lead in a remote-first, globally matrixed organization while aligning local execution with global standards and advocating for market-specific needs at the executive level.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary: ₹14,878,400 INR.
- Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
