Software Engineer

Build, test, and deploy modern C++ software and high-performance products for defense and autonomy customers. The role involves customer integration, product development, and deployment infrastructure, with a bachelor's degree and at least two years of C++ experience preferred.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize high-performance libraries, modules, and products from incubation through production.
  • Write, test, and debug efficient modern C++ code for complex software solutions with AI tooling.
  • Work closely with product managers and customers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to build automation, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines as needed.
  • Build, test, and deploy software for use in customer environments.
  • Integrate software with customer platforms and technologies, including occasional work in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing performant modern C++, or a strong willingness to learn C++.
  • Strong procedural and object-oriented programming experience using clean-code principles and sound object-oriented design patterns.
  • Experience developing in Docker and containerized development environments.
  • Experience using Linux-based operating systems.
  • Ability to hold UK Security Clearance; current or previous clearance is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel between company offices and to customer sites.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with distributed systems, simulation technology, or autonomy.
  • Experience with Bazel, Nix, or similar technologies.
  • Experience deploying to and working with infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience on projects related to national security for government agencies.

Compensation

  • Salary: 100000–160000.
