Architects Stripe solutions for enterprise customers by leading technical discovery, designing integration-rich roadmaps, and presenting compelling demonstrations. The role requires 7+ years in customer-facing solutions architecture or sales engineering, strong English and Mandarin communication, and executive engagement skills.

Responsibilities
- Conduct deep technical discovery and business analysis to understand customer operations, industry dynamics, strategic objectives, and desired outcomes.
- Lead strategic customer engagements, facilitate discovery, and design technically sound solution architectures and transformation roadmaps.
- Evangelize proposed solutions through executive briefings, readouts, presentations, and tailored technical demonstrations.
- Identify account expansion opportunities across global markets and business units, including new capabilities and local payment methods.
- Represent customer insights and requirements to product and engineering teams.
- Partner with sales executives as the technical advisor for prospective and existing platform users.
- Demonstrate how Stripe’s platform addresses customer business problems and delivers value to their users.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as sales engineering, pre-sales solution consulting, or solutions architecture for a global software enterprise.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- Executive engagement, relationship-building, and stakeholder credibility at all levels.
- Group facilitation and customer meeting leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architectures.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Ownership mindset and ability to drive change.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in payments, billing, invoicing, issuing, banking, or fintech.
- Prior consulting experience.
- Experience at a growth-stage internet or software company.
- Experience writing code in Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Go.
