Responsibilities
- Lead requirement intake and refinement sessions, translating product intent into clear, testable, well-scoped engineering requirements and owning associated acceptance criteria.
- Maintain requirement traceability from initiative to epic to story to acceptance criteria.
- Enforce scope discipline through the release cycle and manage changes through an explicit intake and change-control process.
- Keep initiative, epic, and story status current in Jira; own the blocked-initiative log and coordinate state transitions with Project Engineers.
- Enforce Jira hygiene conventions, including fields, labels, components, and definitions of ready and done.
- Run Core Engineering sprint ceremonies, including planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Prepare agendas, facilitate ceremonies, document follow-up notes, and track action items.
- Manage cross-team dependencies across Core, Systems, Solutions, and Release Engineering.
- Produce concise, audience-relevant technical briefs to advance programs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of technical program or project management experience supporting software engineering teams.
- Demonstrated mastery of requirements management, including intake, refinement, traceability, and change control on complex programs.
- Advanced Jira fluency, including configuring dashboards, workflows, and custom reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate strategic vision into executable plans.
- Experience establishing and driving adoption of new process frameworks or operating models from scratch.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to work in a hybrid, on-site environment with up to 10% travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in defense technology, aerospace, robotics, or another regulated or mission-critical domain.
- Agile or project management certifications, such as SAFe, Scrum Alliance, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience in product management, change management, or process improvement.
- Experience operating in a highly technical, AI-focused team environment.
