Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and project members, solving complex technical challenges and building relationships with senior technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture, and other user-facing teams to drive client engagement, customer wins, and Professional Services revenue.
- Plan and execute end-to-end integration engineering, from high-level architecture through code implementation.
- Explain technical concepts and Stripe’s product features and API architecture to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Educate users and the developer community about Stripe’s value proposition, best practices, and new technical developments.
- Act as the ongoing technical point of contact for major users’ and partners’ technical teams.
- Maintain knowledge of Stripe technologies and products, and demonstrate technical thought leadership through whitepapers, conferences, and industry events.
- Provide recommendations, feedback, and best practices to product and engineering teams.
- Contribute to Professional Services methodologies and tools that accelerate engagements and simplify troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in architecture, technical consulting, process re-engineering, application delivery, or technical engineering roles.
- Experience with code-level debugging of Stripe code and user code.
- Ability to explain technical concepts, product features, and API architecture.
- Experience with enterprise systems, including middleware and third-party API integrations.
- Skills in systems flows, data and business object modeling, and use-case or user-interface production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ownership, drive, and an entrepreneurial mindset in fast-paced environments.
- Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Ability to accommodate light quarterly travel for customer on-sites and team meetings.
