Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for Alternatives and Market Data Operations, aligning with business objectives and growth plans.
- Drive automation and efficiency initiatives to reduce manual work, streamline workflows, and scale team capacity.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align data operations strategy with evolving organizational needs.
- Establish operational KPIs covering data quality, processing speed, client satisfaction, resource utilization, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify trends, bottlenecks, blockers, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead issue resolution and escalation while maintaining alignment with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Client Solutions to implement processes and tooling that improve data processing and operational efficiency.
- Oversee operational workflows for alternatives data and market data feeds, ensuring smooth execution and rapid issue resolution.
- Maintain process controls and establish, monitor, and report on SLAs for accurate and timely data delivery.
- Establish and maintain processes, workflows, and playbooks that ensure consistency, quality, and scalability.
People Management
- Lead and grow the Alternatives Data Operations team through hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and career development.
- Mentor managers and leads and promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Manage a global team while fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and growth-oriented culture.
- Balance performance management with empowerment, innovation, collaboration, and accountability for measurable outcomes.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data operations, data management, or a related field within financial services or wealth technology.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience with Alternatives Data, including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, or private credit.
- Experience with process automation, operational workflow re-engineering, and continuous improvement using modern tools and technologies.
- Demonstrated success improving data quality and operational efficiency.
- Strong project management and analytical skills, including change management experience.
- Experience leading global teams, cross-functional and cross-regional projects, and learning and development initiatives.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, external data partners, and internal stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Market Data, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, pricing, or corporate actions.
