Responsibilities
- Own projects from ideation through production, including planning, architecture, implementation, deployment, and impact measurement.
- Design and operate high-performance, scalable distributed systems with responsibility for reliability, monitoring, alerting, testing, documentation, and support processes.
- Drive migration from a monolith to microservices across multiple teams.
- Solve complex problems involving batch processing, real-time synchronization, user matching, and identity resolution.
- Lead technical design discussions, secure stakeholder buy-in, and shape cross-team architecture.
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents and drive root-cause remediation and operational improvements.
- Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, CI/CD, automation, reliability, and production support.
- Conduct code reviews emphasizing systems design, reliability, performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers and contribute to engineering culture and group strategy.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software at scale.
- Deep expertise in object-oriented programming, particularly Java.
- Expert knowledge of Spring Boot, Maven, and modern Java development practices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, caching strategies, stream processing, and resilient architectures.
- Experience with MySQL, Redis, and Amazon S3.
- Experience with directory services such as Active Directory, LDAP, Office 365, or Azure AD.
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, gRPC, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with massive-scale batch processing and real-time synchronization.
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud, including SQS, S3, and multi-region architectures.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid position requiring a blend of remote and in-office collaboration.
