Responsibilities
- Lead the materials management team, setting priorities and workload across materials managers and coaching expediting practices.
- Expedite capital equipment orders with direct schedule consequences and renegotiate vendor delivery commitments.
- Own consolidated root-cause analysis and reporting for delivery misses, including corrective actions and credible revised dates.
- Manage 4–5+ suppliers, contract manufacturers, and ODMs across concurrent project sites.
- Read engineering drawings and specifications against purchase orders to identify scope discrepancies before shipment.
- Travel to vendor sites to verify production status and drive recovery plans.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in global sourcing or supply chain for capital equipment or data center infrastructure.
- Experience leading buyers or materials managers, setting priorities, and coaching expediting practices.
- Hands-on experience expediting capital equipment orders and renegotiating vendor delivery commitments.
- Experience managing 4–5+ suppliers, contract manufacturers, or ODMs across concurrent project sites.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications and identify scope discrepancies.
- Willingness to travel to vendor sites.
- Player-coach approach, combining team leadership with hands-on ownership of complex recoveries.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with owner-furnished equipment, cooling and power components for AI data centers, or GPU platform procurement at a hyperscaler.
