Responsibilities
- Own the demand-side merchandising and discoverability strategy, including placement, sequencing, and which Experiences surface to specific guests.
- Advocate for dynamic, context-aware ranking based on factors such as day of week, availability, trends, market, and traveler type.
- Represent the demand perspective in ranking and personalization roadmaps.
- Prioritize discoverability experiments and translate results into business decisions.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Supply on matching, personalization, ranking, and ownership alignment.
- Drive alignment across senior stakeholders with competing mandates.
- Build dashboards and measurement for discoverability, spotlights, and placement performance.
- Close analytics and tooling gaps to accelerate learning and iteration.
- Identify where merchandising investment produces the greatest value.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in business operations, product operations, or strategy, ideally at a marketplace or consumer platform.
- Strong analytical foundation, including data analysis, measurement, and translating insights into operating decisions.
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering on ranking, search, personalization, or merchandising.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and align senior stakeholders.
- Clear communication and ability to influence a technical roadmap without directly owning it.

- Experience with search, ranking, recommendations, or merchandising systems.
- SQL or equivalent hands-on analytics capability.
Compensation
- Base pay range: $204,000–$249,000 USD annually.
- May also include bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
