Hardware Systems Planning Lead

Leads integrated demand, supply, and deployment planning for first-party AI hardware infrastructure, aligning site power, configurations, XPU requirements, manufacturing capacity, and supplier commitments. Requires significant experience in complex hardware planning or operations, strong analytical judgment, and cross-functional program leadership.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated planning process for 1P hardware systems, connecting system demand, deployment timing, site and configuration requirements, power availability, XPU needs, and supply commitments.
  • Maintain a decision-ready supply plan covering plan changes, pull-ins and push-outs, site and configuration impacts, power assumptions, system demand, XPU requirements, supplier and manufacturing commitments, gaps, and recovery actions.
  • Validate end-to-end plan executability across components, XPU availability, system integration, factory capacity, site readiness, and deployment.
  • Lead weekly deployment and supply reviews focused on changes, risks, decisions, and recovery execution.
  • Publish weekly delta reports explaining changes, causes, and downstream impacts.
  • Track forecast-versus-commit gaps, identify constraints, and drive recovery plans with accountable owners and target dates.
  • Coordinate biweekly end-to-end supply updates for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Translate roadmap, configuration, and deployment changes into updated system and XPU requirements.
  • Pressure-test supplier and manufacturing commitments and establish credible recovery paths.
  • Anticipate risks, develop scenarios and tradeoffs, and provide recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Build scalable planning models, reporting standards, and operating mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in hardware systems planning, supply planning, program management, operations, or a related field supporting complex, high-volume technology products or infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of hardware demand, component supply, manufacturing capacity, system configurations, site readiness, power availability, and deployment schedules.
  • Experience managing integrated demand-and-supply plans at weekly granularity, including forecasts, supply commitments, gaps, scenarios, and recovery actions.
  • Ability to assess whether plans are executable.
  • Exceptional analytical and cross-functional program leadership skills.
  • Experience establishing operating cadences, driving accountability, and closing issues across organizations.
  • Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and drive risks through resolution.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI infrastructure, hyperscale data centers, or accelerator systems.
  • Experience with semiconductors, server or rack manufacturing, or complex hardware supply chains.
