About the role

Responsibilities

  • Co-create AI/ML courses on Coursera and the DeepLearning.AI platform through partnerships with world-class AI experts.
  • Guide Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and content development partners through the course creation process.
  • Ensure high content quality by holding standards for accurate, engaging, and effective technical content.
  • Develop independent perspective on course material to assist SMEs and content team.
  • Quickly learn course topics from technical materials like journal articles.
  • Assess SME expertise and direct team to deliver high-quality content timely.
  • Review and provide feedback on technical AI content, improving words, visuals, code, and flow.
  • Track creation and external review of course elements, creating them if needed.
  • Collaborate with production and visual design teams for videos, visuals, and multimedia.

Requirements

  • Technical background in math (calculus, linear algebra, statistics) and Python programming (functions, classes, data structures) to complete machine learning courses.
  • Basic knowledge of AI/machine learning.
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design best practices; experience designing, structuring, and teaching technical courses.
  • Ability to create interactive, applied learning experiences.
  • Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related STEM field, or equivalent industry experience in data science, machine learning, or software development.
  • Excellent communicator and team player; ability to author/edit high-quality written content in English.
  • Familiarity with prompting and GenAI tools.

Nice-to-Haves

  • PhD in Math, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience developing online asynchronous curriculum in GenAI, AI, machine learning, data science, robotics, or similar.
  • Research or industry experience as data scientist, machine learning engineer, or similar.
