AI Native Software Engineer - Secure File Gateway
Builds a high-concurrency Secure File Gateway in C++ or Rust that proxies uploads, sends them to MetaDefender Core for scanning and sanitization, and returns safe files. The role requires strong object-oriented programming, networking, multithreading, debugging, and interest in agentic AI development workflows.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test Secure File Gateway in C++ or Rust for Windows and Linux as a transparent proxy between a WAF and backend.
- Intercept uploads, forward them to MetaDefender Core over ICAP, and return sanitized files with low latency and high reliability.
- Build multi-threaded, high-concurrency networking components.
- Build and use agentic workflows, including Claude Code and autonomous coding agents, for coding, testing, and debugging.
- Work within a Scrum team, collaborate with Product Management, and participate in peer code reviews.
Requirements
- Strong object-oriented programming background in Java or C#, with willingness to learn or work in C++ or Rust.
- Solid multi-threading and network programming skills.
- Comfort with TCP/IP, HTTP, proxying, and other protocol- and network-level concepts.
- Genuine interest in using AI tools in the development workflow.
- Experience building or using multi-agent systems.
- Strong coding and debugging skills, communication skills, and self-motivation.
Nice to Have
- ICAP protocol experience.
- Reverse proxy or gateway experience.
- REST API design.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, or TeamCity.
- DBMS experience, including SQLite or PostgreSQL.
- Windows or Linux development experience.
