Leads technical direction for an Access Management team building and scaling core authorization services, unified permission models, and fine-grained access controls. Responsibilities
- Evolve the platform's core authorization service, which is on the critical path of every access-control decision.
- Migrate and consolidate permission-checking across the platform onto a unified authorization model.
- Build fine-grained access controls, including scoped service identities, delegated access, and role-based access control.
- Develop network ingress access policies for customer resources.
- Improve the availability and reliability of a high-throughput, low-latency authorization service.
- Set technical direction for Bellevue engineers and partner with a technical lead on a distributed, multi-site team.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in access management, identity, or authorization systems.
- Strong distributed systems and security fundamentals.
- Demonstrated technical leadership on a team, ideally across multiple locations.
- Track record of designing and shipping backend services at scale.
Compensation
- Local pay range: $180,500–$203,025 USD.
- Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
