Game Operations - Trading Analyst

Monitors and trades sports player projections across pre-game and live markets, managing risk through quantitative analysis and adapting operations to sports schedules. Strong mathematical, analytical, and sports-gaming knowledge is required; DFS or sports-gaming experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate pre-game and in-game player projections across NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college basketball, college football, and esports markets.
  • Monitor projections throughout the day and track information relevant to projection changes.
  • Manage risk using modeling and quantitative analysis.
  • Analyze member play patterns and adjust internal processes accordingly.
  • Collaborate with sport owners on strategies, best practices, and processes for key markets.
  • Help establish standard operating procedures for game operations tasks.

Requirements

  • Analyze multiple information streams concurrently and make thoughtful decisions in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication, time management, and reliability.
  • Understanding of daily fantasy sports and sports gaming.
  • Thorough knowledge of major sports league players, teams, matchups, and factors affecting projections.
  • Ability to apply standard operating procedures across sports.
  • Willingness to adapt to different trading philosophies and company objectives.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends according to the sports schedule.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Authorization to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, engineering, analytics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • One to three years of experience working in or playing daily fantasy sports or sports gaming.
