Product Manager II - SQL & Sheets Growth

Responsibilities

  • Own DDSQL and Sheets end to end, including roadmap, adoption, and growth strategy.
  • Partner with design on information architecture, interaction design, and visual polish for complex analytical workflows.
  • Use product analytics and customer research to identify friction, improve onboarding, and measure whether users reach useful answers faster.
  • Define experiences for querying, transforming, visualizing, and sharing data, including query composition, results exploration, errors, performance feedback, and collaboration.
  • Define and execute the strategy for bringing third-party data into Datadog, from market research and use-case definition through pricing.
  • Expand Datadog SQL from a standalone editor into a platform-wide query capability across all graphs.
  • Redesign discovery and onboarding for Graphing products.
  • Identify and pitch new investment areas for the Graphing suite, including products, personas, and capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience building customer-facing analytics, business intelligence, notebook, spreadsheet, visualization, or other data-intensive products.
  • Strong UI and UX judgment, including information architecture, interaction patterns, progressive disclosure, and complex-tool edge cases.
  • Hands-on analytical experience with SQL, spreadsheets, BI tools, or notebooks.
  • Comfortable forming product perspectives amid ambiguity and incomplete data.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to discuss query engines, data schemas, and storage architecture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to technical stakeholders and executives.
  • 4+ years of product experience.
