Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end air freight shipments, including receiving bookings and coordinating with shippers, consignees, agents, airlines, trucking partners, terminals, and internal teams.
- Enter shipment data into systems, create files, complete MAWB and HAWB documentation, and ensure accurate, timely file handling.
- File AMS documentation and submit EDI messages, including FHL and FWB, as required.
- Invoice clients and agents, and review and approve subcontractor invoices accurately and on time.
- Provide customer service by following up on requests, claims, and feedback, and arranging appropriate shipment solutions.
- Escalate irregularities and operational issues, and provide feedback on subcontractor standards and services.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, company policies, and customer SOPs.
- Prepare customer statistics and reports and support special requests for system improvements.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date system data and meet operational KPIs.
- Collaborate with account managers, customers, and customs teams to ensure smooth operations and a strong customer experience.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Support teammates and take on additional operational tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in air operations or a related freight forwarding or logistics role.
- Fluent Japanese and good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, structured, and eager to learn global supply chain operations.
- Customer-focused, responsive, and professional when handling calls and inquiries.
- Flexible and open to working weekends.
