Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Legal Engineers, setting clear performance expectations and building a high-trust, high-output team culture.
- Own the quality and consistency of the pre-sales legal engineering function, ensuring demos, discovery conversations, and deal support are delivered to the highest standard.
- Partner with Account Executives and GTM leadership to prioritize pipeline, develop deal strategy, and support conversion on complex or strategic opportunities.
- Engage with lawyers at prospective customers to understand and address their workflow challenges.
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing to ensure field insights inform positioning, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy.
- Lead product demonstrations tailored to law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams, validating customer needs and showcasing relevant features and benefits.
- Act as the voice of the customer, helping the broader sales team develop effective strategies and synthesizing customer feedback for the Product team.
- Travel may be required, including visits to customer and company offices.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 7+ years of post-qualification experience, with experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment.
- Prior team-management experience, with a track record of developing talent and driving performance.
- Deep familiarity with legal technology and AI tools, with the ability to quickly develop and demonstrate platform expertise.
- Strong commercial instincts and the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders at law firms and in-house legal teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience running training, workshops, or client-facing product sessions.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.
