Global Payroll Operations Specialist
Own payroll operations, filings, payments, and issue resolution for South Africa and other selected countries while partnering with product and engineering teams on compliant payroll software. Requires 4+ years of global payroll experience, strong South Africa expertise, and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities
- Execute timely payroll, filings, and payments for customers across key countries.
- Resolve issues and communicate with government agencies and external partners.
- Interface directly with customers and resolve payroll issues on their behalf.
- Partner with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure payroll software supports payroll and tax compliance requirements.
- Help address product bugs and issues, including calculation and file-generation errors.
- Prioritize and implement internal tooling requirements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in global payroll processing.
- 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role.
- Strong South Africa payroll experience.
- Experience running payroll in-house with common payroll software.
- Experience processing payroll in accordance with social security, legislation, and local tax requirements.
- Google Suite or Microsoft Office experience, especially Docs, Sheets, and Excel.
- Ability to review and validate calculations.
- Understanding of payroll concepts and regulations.
- Deep understanding of leave entitlements.
- Knowledge of labor legislation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Fluent in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience running payroll in other EMEA countries.
- Familiarity with Salesforce queues, JIRA, and Confluence.
