Senior Specialist Solutions Architect - Cloud Platform & Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Guide strategic customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks on Azure platform administration, from architectural design to production deployment.
• Architect secure, scalable enterprise deployments using Azure networking, identity, and security controls.
• Advise customers on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, cloud networking, and identity management.
• Support Solutions Architects during complex technical sales cycles by building proof-of-concept architectures and technical content on Azure.
• Deliver tutorials, conduct hackathons, speak at conferences, and contribute to the Databricks open-source community.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in a technical role with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud security, networking best practices, and enterprise data platform design.
• 5+ years of professional experience with distributed architectures and big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, including pre-sales, post-sales, or consulting.
• Deep expertise in at least one of the following areas:
  • Security and identity: Azure security controls, platform/network/data security, encryption, vulnerability management, compliance, Microsoft Entra ID, SCIM, OAuth, SAML, and federation.
  • Networking and deployments: Azure enterprise networking, VNet peering, ExpressRoute, Private Link, network routing, performance optimization, and large-scale deployment management.
  • Platform administration: High availability, disaster recovery, cluster orchestration, observability, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure cost management.
  • Infrastructure automation: Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM for building, maintaining, and scaling Azure environments.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala, with strong proficiency in SQL.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to meet role-specific training and technical delivery milestones within the first six months.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.

• Databricks certifications.
• Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer.

Compensation

• Local pay range: $219,100–$301,300 USD.
• Total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
