People Business Partner Lead - APJ
Leads People Business Partnering, regional compliance, and People Operations across APJ, advising leaders and adapting global programs to local requirements. Responsibilities
Strategic People Business Partnership
- Partner with APJ leaders and managers to drive organizational effectiveness, team health, and strong performance.
- Advise leadership on team design, performance management, and talent development.
- Support leaders navigating complex employee situations and evolving organizational needs.
Regional Compliance & Expertise
- Serve as the regional point of contact for employment practices and compliance across APJ.
- Partner with Legal and external advisors to align with local employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and adapt global people programs and policies to local requirements.
- Monitor evolving regulatory requirements across APJ markets and advise leadership on potential impacts.
People Operations & Program Ownership
- Own key People Operations processes across APJ, aligning regional execution with global standards and local requirements.
- Lead regional execution of performance cycles, compensation processes, and talent initiatives.
- Improve the scalability and effectiveness of regional people processes.
- Support regional operations, including vendor coordination, documentation, and local employment processes.
Global Partnership
- Bridge APJ and the global People organization, bringing regional insight into company-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and leadership teams.
- Incorporate APJ perspectives into global people strategies and programs.
Requirements
- Significant experience in HR business partnering or regional HR leadership, ideally across APJ.
- Strong knowledge of APJ employment practices and compliance considerations.
- Ability to operate strategically and operationally, moving between leadership advising and hands-on execution.
- Experience working in global, distributed organizations.
- Strong relationship-building and influence skills across cultures and geographies.
- Pragmatic and adaptable approach to high-impact work across multiple People functions.
- Ability to build structure and processes in evolving regional operations.
