Senior QA Engineer
Owns end-to-end quality for a multi-tenant product across its front end and Python backend. The role combines automated and exploratory testing, API and data validation, AI-assisted test review, CI/CD integration, and production issue root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality across the front end and Python backend, including FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse, serving multiple enterprise tenants.
- Create and manage test plans, test cases, and regression coverage for new features and releases.
- Review and steer AI-generated test suites, distinguishing tests that catch real bugs from tests that merely pass.
- Triage production issues and drive them to root cause.
- Develop and maintain QA tools and frameworks supporting the automated testing pipeline.
- Run exploratory, usability, and manual testing where automation is not the right tool.
- Collaborate with engineering and product to define test strategy across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience.
- Strong SQL, including PostgreSQL and an analytical database such as ClickHouse.
- Python with pytest for writing, reviewing, and debugging automated tests.
- API and backend testing experience covering authentication, multi-tenancy, and error paths.
- End-to-end testing experience across front-end and back-end systems.
- Ownership of test plans, test cases, and regression coverage.
- AI-assisted quality engineering using GenAI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Cursor for test design and generation, with critical review of AI-generated tests and root-cause analyses.
- CI/CD integration experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Ability to read code and stack traces and trace failures to their root cause.
- Clear, evidence-based bug reports and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Nice-to-haves
- Understanding of data pipelines and data testing, including dbt and data warehouse concepts.
- Snowflake or Databricks domain exposure, particularly cost and performance optimization.
- Experience evaluating LLM output through evals, golden datasets, or quality rubrics.
- Strong exploratory and usability testing skills.
- Load testing with Locust or k6, or security testing exposure.
- Front-end automation experience with Playwright or Cypress.
